Welcome to the Parents for Providence Association!
As co-chairs of the Parents for Providence Association, we want to be among the first to welcome your family to PC. We hope that you are enjoying the fall and have had an opportunity to meet other parents of the incoming class through any of the several functions sponsored by the College, including Freshman Family Weekend and regional alumni/incoming freshman receptions. We look forward to seeing you at future gatherings, and encourage you to attend Upperclassmen Family Weekend, February 13-15, 2009. Please take a moment to review the information about the Parents for Providence Association. We hope that you will consider volunteering your time for any one of the many opportunities available to PC parents. Go Friars!

Parents for Providence Association
All parents of current Providence College students are invited to become active members of the Association through a variety of initiatives. You can volunteer to be an admission ambassador, join the parent career network, host a regional event for parents and alumni, and much more. Parents Leadership Council
Parents Leadership Council members are considered ambassadors for the College and the parent community. Council members are asked to share their perspective as parents with College leaders and speak with fellow parents on behalf of Providence College. Members lead the efforts of the Parent Fund, assist during Upperclassman and Freshman Family Weekend, and host incoming freshman receptions and regional parent cultivation and stewardship events. The full scope of Council member responsibilities may be viewed here.

Parents Fund
The Parents for Providence Association is committed to increasing support to the College through its Parents' Fund. These unrestricted donations are used in the given fiscal year to support a variety of initiatives to transform students' lives. Gifts from the Parents' Fund enhance academic programs, faculty support, and the quality of our campus facilities and student life.
Established by a group of parents in 1968, the Providence College Parents' Fund encourages annual giving during the College's July 1 to June 30 fiscal year. Parents' Fund committee members work with fellow parent volunteers and Office of Institutional Advancement staff to identify and secure potential leadership gifts. They review donor prospect lists and solicit fellow parents by telephone and direct mail.
All gifts to the Parents' Fund are tax-deductible to the extent of the law and donations can be made using the College's secure online giving site, visit www.givetopc.org. Additional information about the special advantages of donating stocks, bonds, property, life insurance proceeds, and other forms of giving to Providence College, is available through the Office of Institutional Advancement.
