Honorable William J. Sullivan

PC Activities:  ROTC, St. Thomas More Club President, track and cross country

Career Path:  Following his graduation from Providence College, Sullivan served as a captain in the United States Army.  He practiced law from 1967 until 1978, and during this time, served as Corporation Counsel for the City of Waterbury, CT. 

 In 1978, Sullivan was made a Superior Court Judge in Connecticut.  He held this position until 1997, when he moved to the Appellate Court System.  Sullivan was appointed a Connecticut Supreme Court Justice in 1999, and became Chief Justice in 2001.

Family:  Wife Mary Louise; sons Timothy, Paul, Gregory, and Michael.  Timothy is a 1992 graduate of Providence College and Gregory graduated in 1998.

Staying Involved:  Sullivan has remained active within the Providence College community as a member of the Providence College Alumni Association.
