Career Path Highlights: Duryea joined Fieldcrest Cannon Mills Inc. in 1982 and worked until 1989 at various venues nationwide, holding positions as sales representative, assistant manager, and senior sales representative. In January of 1989, he then founded and served as president of a nationwide supermarket promotions company, Duryea & Associates in Moraga, Calif., overseeing promotions in 38 states and dealing with factories in the United States and five other countries. In January of 2008, he changed the name of his company to Stephen Duryea, LLC.

Family: Wife, Benedicte; two children, Alexandra & Patrick

Staying Involved: Duryea was chairman of the PC Annual Fund in 1998-99. He was appointed to the College's Board of Trustees in 2001. He serves on the board's Audit Committee and the Varsity Athletics Committee. He also serves on the College's Corporation.

Duryea has assisted PC students with career questions through the Office of Career Services' FriarLink network and has served as a volunteer for northern California phonathons. He established the Duryea Scholarship Fund in 1996.
