Career Path Highlights: Cianciolo attended the KPMG Advanced Management Program at Stanford University in 1976. He served as the managing partner at KPMG, Providence, before becoming an independent director of three publicly traded companies.
Cianciolo currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Rhode Island Airport Corporation and is the treasurer of the American Association of the Order of Malta. He recently completed six years as treasurer of the Board of Trustees of Rhode Island Hospital, where he continues to serve as Eucharistic Minister, and has served as chair of the Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra, Catholic Charities, and the United Way of R.I.
Family: Wife, Judith; four children, John, Jeffrey, Joshua, and Jane (Cianciolo) Maglio, who received her PC master's degree in theology, with distinction, in May 2008
Staying Involved: A longtime member of the College's Providence President's Council, Cianciolo was appointed to the College's Board of Trustees in 2001. He is the chair of the Board's Audit Committee and a member of the Development and Alumni Affairs Committee. He established the Robert Dennis Cianciolo Scholarship Fund in 1970. The chairman of the College's annual Pops Concert for 20 years, he was awarded the Exemplary Citizenship Award by the National Alumni Association in 1990.
