Debra L. Brendel, M.D.
Physician specializing in gynecology; Assistant clinical professor at Brown University

PC Degrees: B.S. in biology with summa cum laude honors

Activities Participated in as a PC Student: Liberal Arts Honors Program; member of Alpha Epsilon Delta, the National Pre-Medical Honor Society

Career Path Highlights: A Roddy Scholar at Providence College, Brendel earned her medical degree from Brown University School of Medicine in 1989 and did her residency at Women & Infants Hospital in Providence.

A Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, Brendel specializes in gynecology with a Rhode Island-based obstetrics and gynecology group devoted to "practicing medicine in its purist form, as a scientific pursuit based on a humanistic philosophy." She is a member of the Rhode Island Medical Society and the New England OB-Gyn Society.

Staying Involved with Providence College: Brendel is an active member of the New London/Washington County Alumni Club. She has served as an alumni volunteer at the Rhode Island Community Food Bank.
