Career Path:  Leonard N. "Lenny" Alsfeld is the Founder, President and CEO of FBT Investments, Inc. (a subsidiary of Firstrust Corp.) an N.A.S.D. full service brokerage firm in New Orleans, La.  In his free time, Alsfeld serves his community through a variety of non profit endeavors. Inspired by the work of A-Wish-Come-True of Warwick, R.I. and after his late nephew, Jason Green, was diagnosed with leukemia, he formed A Child's Wish in 1982.  Over the past two decades Lenny has financed and granted more than 1,000 wishes to children with catastrophic illness throughout Louisiana. He also was an advisor in the resurrection of the bankrupt New Orleans Philharmonic which evolved into the well respected Louisiana Philharmonic, one of only two musician-owned philharmonic orchestras in the nation.  He was a founding Board Member of the Jefferson Parish Chamber of Commerce and a Trustee for the Jefferson Parish Home Mortgage Authority.

In 1994, Alsfeld organized the Crescent City Hockey League, a recreational non profit hockey program in Metairie, Louisiana. The league was voted the “Organization of The Year” in 2001 by the Amateur Athletic Union (A.A.U.) In the summer of 2005, the CCHL hosted the largest in-line hockey tournament in the sports history during a 13-day schedule. Lenny sits on the Inline Hockey Board of both the A.A.U. and USA Hockey Organizations and in 2003, he coached the USA Junior World Inline Hockey team to a gold medal in Detroit.

Family:  Wife, Cynthia; two daughters, Margaret "Meg" and Cassie; two sons, Leonard "Clark" and John "Mac"

Staying Involved: Alsfeld is a founding member of the College's Office of Admissions' Alumni/ae Admission Associates program--a group of alumni/ae who volunteer to help promote PC at college nights nationwide.  Alsfeld's commitment to Providence College has been critically important in promoting PC throughout Louisiana through the program.  At the college nights, Alsfeld strives to promote PC in an engaging manner by organizing dynamic tables that motivates both students and parents to examine the many benefits of a Providence College education.

Memorable Quotes: "PC provides a student with lessons for life which include, ethics, spirituality, honor and 'Veritas' -- character issues that allow graduates to make positive impacts on their lives and communities."
