Annual Fund Commitee
Become Involved || Structure || Role
The Annual Fund Committee is representative of Providence College alumni.
The chairs of the program work with the Director of Annual Giving to identify new members.
Invitations are extended to alumni who have been identified by various sources as people being more closely associated with Providence College. We also welcome new volunteers to take an initiative.
If you are interested in becoming an active member of the Annual Fund Committee please contact Amy Laprey with your phone number and email contact information at (401) 865-2252 or abostock@providence.edu.
At this time we are putting together a stronger PARENTS for PROVIDENCE program. If you are a parent interested in becoming involved with the Annual Fund Committee, contact Amy Laprey at (401) 865-2252 or abostock@providence.edu, for more information on the Parents' Council or the Parents' Fund.
The goal of the AF is to increase donor participation and the overall level of gifts to the Annual Fund. Members will be asked to assist with the solicitation process in a variety of ways. In addition, Annual Fund members will be asked to participate in cultivation events throughout the country.
Providence College has a long history of classmates reconnecting with one another and with the College. Many alumni choose to make a special gift to Providence College for a variety of reasons: an area of the College they associate with is in need of funds; they may be celebrating a reunion year; they may have a son or daughter interested in or currently attending the College. Increased participation and giving levels celebrates these various milestones and helps to build a level of support that persists for years to come. Members of Reunion Gift Committees, Dominicans, faculty members and Institutional Advancement staff also play a vital role in engaging classmates and furthering efforts on behalf of Providence College.
Annual Fund Committee members are asked to:
– Make a contribution to the PC Annual Fund at a level that sets an example of personal leadership.
– Assist in identifying classmates who have the ability and inclination to make special contributions to the Annual Fund.
– Contact 10-15 classmates to discuss their gift, with a focus on four- and five-figure gifts or pledges.
– Attend committee meetings, as their schedule permits.
– Participate in committee conference calls, as their schedule permits.
– Assist in development and implementation of a mission statement and formal structure for the committee.
