Over 1,500 alumni ending in the years '4 and '9 "journeyed home" for Reunion Weekend 2009. This was the highest attendance ever for a Reunion Weekend at Providence College! For those that were able to attend the festivities we THANK YOU for coming back to celebrate your days at Providence College. For those that weren't able to join us this time we hope that you will be able to make it to the next Reunion in five years!

• 136 Golden Friars celebrated the class of 1959's 50th Anniversary at a special Mass said by College President Rev. Brian J. Shanley, O.P. '80, followed by a dinner on Friday evening. The class of 1959 successfully raised more than $160,000 in cash and pledges in honor of their reunion year. Congratulations!
  
• As a co-sponsor of WaterFire, the PC Alumni Association welcomed more than 675 alumni to a special reception downtown. Graduates of all ages - ranging in class years from 1949 to 2004 - showed their PC pride while celebrating their reunion.
  
• The sunny day on Saturday attracted 1006 alumni to the traditional Reunion BBQ!
  
• The Class of 1984 toasted their Silver 25th Anniversary, given by classmate Kevin Ecclesine, at the home of College President Rev. Brian J. Shanley, O.P. '80. He celebrated with 129 classmates at this special reception, and congratulated them on surpassing their reunion class fundraising goal of $200,000 with four weeks still left to go in this fiscal year. Congratulations!
