| Introduction top |
|
Dear Class of 1989,
"And the Last Shall be First" read the Latin inscription on our '89 class rings. Do you remember Junior Ring Weekend? How about Senior Week? Anyone recall Maury Povich introducing our "A Providence Affair" class video? How many yellow school buses did you ride to infamous PC functions over four years? The celebrations were certainly well deserved for all the hard work we put in. And too, let us reflect on our dedicated Dominican leaders, professors, resident assistants and staff that were so committed to our success and glad to see us reach it (and quietly leave our beloved campus in May of 1989)! The work we put in over four years was difficult work, too....can you imagine - we didn't have laptops, cell phones, broadband or cable TV in our rooms? How did we possibly stay connected and achieve the promise of higher education? Oh yea....we had the bookstore, those pesky mailboxes, Slavin steps, Raymond Cafe and the 'Civ tape room! Well it doesn't feel like quite yesterday that we walked across the stage at the Dunkin Donuts Center (oops, didn't have that either, it was the Civic Center). But twenty years has just rushed by. Surely we all have worked even harder over the years so another PC celebration is in order!! Please join with your classmates in celebrating at Reunion Weekend and take some time to relax, reconnect, reminisce and relive (if for just one day) that precious, precious time that was ours. The Providence College Class of 1989 - we've earned every minute.
Hope to see you all in May!

Your 20th Reunion happens only once, so this is a perfect opportunity for you to show your commitment to Providence College and your class by placing the College at the top of your philanthropic priority list. Providence is a great place to grow - in mind, body and spirit - and this is made possible through our alumni. From the very beginning alumni have generously supported the College through what was once known as the Loyalty Fund, then known as the Annual Fund and today the PC Fund.
Reunions stand out as a pinnacle moment of reflecting back on the difference Providence made in your life. Providence is where you were presented with opportunities to learn and to grow, to follow your dreams, and to forge relationships which would last a lifetime. Now it's time for you to see how you can make a critical difference to today's students and to the College's future.
Please consider a gift to PC. www.givetopc.org
