The International Committee at Providence College reviews applications for all non-U.S. citizens, as well as any dual and U.S. citizens attending high school outside of the United States.
In order to be considered for admission to Providence College, you must submit the following:
Students can apply to Providence College using the Common Application. Components of the application include:
English is the primary language of instruction at Providence College. You must be able to understand English and express yourself clearly in speech and writing. Students whose native language is not English must submit their scores for Providence College’s preferred English proficiency tests, either Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or the International English Language Test System (IELTS).
Students who have studied entirely in English throughout secondary school may qualify to receive a waiver for the English proficiency requirement, although we still highly recommend that you submit a TOEFL or IELTS score as such submission will enhance your application. All requests can be made by contacting the Office of Admission. Requests should provide evidence as to why the English proficiency requirement should be waived and will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Bank Statements should be submitted (with a date of no more than three months prior to submission).
Students requesting need-based financial assistance are required to submit the CSS/Financial Aid PROFILE and the International Student Certification of Finances at the time they apply for admission. Please note that Providence College has replaced the International Student Financial Aid Application (ISFAA) with the CSS/PROFILE application for evaluating financial need. Providence College will no longer accept the ISFAA. This form should only be submitted if you are applying for need-based financial aid. Providence College is able to offer a limited amount of need-based assistance to international students, but we are unable to guarantee meeting each student's full need. Please read more about our financial assistance policies for a greater understanding.
