Special Requirements for Declaring Some Majors

Before you proceed to declare a major, it is always recommended that you consult with the appropriate department chair to confirm that you can meet all of the requirements for the major you are considering.  Some departments will not allow you to declare until you have completed an introductory course in that discipline.  Planning ahead is essential.

The following departments have established specific procedures or requirements that must be met before the major can be declared.  These may be adjusted from time to time, so it is wise to consult with the Providence College Catalog and to visit the department chair well in advance of declaration to be sure you have met all departmental requirements.
