Areas of Study

Providence College’s undergraduate programs of study lead to the degrees of Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science in a major field of study. Students may choose to pursue an academic minor or certificate program in selected areas of study, or to create a double major or an individualized studies major. Interdisciplinary and non-departmental courses also are offered to further enrich your educational experience.

You will find information about the options available in each area of study by using the links below. In many cases, academic departments and programs maintain their own distinct web sites, which provide in-depth information about courses, faculty, and department/program activities. Individual links to these sites are available on the pages you access below.

Visit Special Programs for information about the College’s pre-professional programs in health sciences and law, the Liberal Arts Honors program, internships, study abroad, ROTC, and other opportunities to broaden and enhance your academic experience.
