The Humanities Program offers a highly individualized interdisciplinary plan of study which is focused on the liberal arts.  Emphasis is placed on critical understanding and disciplined reflection.  The program provides a strong liberal arts education which can serve as excellent preparation for all professions.  Each student will be challenged to create a comprehensive program of study.

It is a good idea for prospective humanities students to begin the foreign language sequence in the second year.

The Major
A major is offered in humanities which leads to the bachelor of arts degree.

For detailed information on the requirements for the humanities major, as well as course listings and descriptions, please see the on-line undergraduate catalog.
