An MBA in One Year (PC 4+1)

Whether you are a Providence College graduate or a graduate from another institution, you can get your MBA in one year.

 PC Graduates  Other Graduates

Our innovative 4+1 Program enables PC students to pursue their bachelor's and master's degrees simultaneously. Eligible undergraduates may take up to two MBA courses during junior and senior undergraduate years.

If you've completed a business degree at another college, you can apply your prerequisite coursework at PC and still complete your MBA in one year.

The 4+1 MBA Program is designed to allow an undergraduate student to continue study for an additional year upon completion of the undergraduate degree and receive the master of business administration degree. Those who are interested in the program should apply for admission during the spring of their junior undergraduate year.  (Applications to the PC 4+1 MBA Program are also accepted from seniors, however, it is recommended that students apply in their junior year.)  Admission is granted to those students who meet the established MBA graduate admissions criteria.  Acceptance decisions are communicated to the applicant in the semester in which the application is submitted.

Criteria needed to apply to the program include:

  • An application form
  • Official transcript of undergraduate courses taken to date
  • Submission of GMAT score
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • A statement of objectives from the student pursuing the MBA degree
  • $55.00 application fee
  • For International Students -
    • Applicants whose native language is not English must submit official scores from the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). Test scores must not be more than two years old.
    • International applicants whose undergraduate degrees were conferred outside of the United States must have their transcripts translated, including grades, into U.S. Standards.

The following describes the sequence of activities for the MBA 4+1 Program:

  • Junior Spring Semester:
    • Application to program
