Providence College's School of Business is currently seeking AACSB accreditation. The School of Business was created to meet the requirements of AACSB and its accreditation standards. AACSB stands for the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International, and accreditation by the association is considered entrance into the "Golden Tier" of Business Schools. It provides business schools that have achieved AACSB accreditation worldwide with an elite standing in Higher Education/Business Education. The faculty and students of Providence College are actively involved in the accreditation process.
Accreditation is a process of voluntary, non-governmental review of the educational institution that is seeking membership in the association. Institutions that earn accreditation confirm their commitment to quality and continuous improvement through a rigorous and comprehensive peer review.
