Providence College Digital Commons

The Providence College Digital Commons is an open access repository, collecting research and scholarly output from Providence College faculty and students, electronic journals produced by Providence College, and special collections of digitized materials from the Providence College Archives and Special Collections. It is a fully searchable database that includes articles, papers, manuscripts, and digitized documents.

More Information On Digital Commons

What is the Digital Commons? [PDF] talks in more detail about the Digital Commons and what it can do for Providence College faculty.

SHERPA/RoMEO Database is a searchable database of publisher copyright & self-archiving policies. Searchable by both Journal and Publisher, it is a good first place to check what rights you may have to post your material in the Digital Commons.

BePress Digital Commons is a federated search engine that allows you to explore and search both the Providence College Digital Commons and those at other institutions.

Digital Commons Bibliography [PDF] includes links to articles and other material on Institutional Repositories, Open Archives, and other Digital Commons related topics.

If you'd like yet more information about our Digital Commons, as well as a selection of tutorials and information on scanning and digitizing services provided at Phillips Memorial Library, check out our Digital Services Lab LibGuide.
