Students may need to obtain an official Enrollment Verification Certificate to provide evidence of enrollment at Providence College to various third parties; such as health insurance companies, banks, scholarship agencies, housing authorities, etc.   Providence College has authorized the National Student Clearinghouse to act as our agent for verifications of student enrollment status.  Please visit the Clearinghouse online at www.studentclearinghouse.org  to obtain your Student Enrollment Verification Certificate.  Online service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

To ensure the security and confidentiality of sensitive information being transmitted over the Internet, the Clearinghouse protects its customers by using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology provided by the VeriSign Secure Site Program.  

If you are uncomfortable sharing your social security number or birthday over the Clearinghouse's secure website, you may complete and submit our paper Enrollment Verification Request Form  by fax (401-865-1899) or return it to the Office of Academic Records – Harkins 207.   These requests will be fulfilled with a Providence College standard Student Enrollment Verification letter.   Please Note:  any enrollment verifications processed before the start of the semester will state that the student is registered for the upcoming semester.   If the letter is processed after the start of the semester, the letter will state that the student is enrolled.
