Providence College offers a variety of information and resources for its faculty. The Faculty Handbook, now in its eighth edition and available online, is the College's official document highlighting policies related to faculty status, rights and benefits, and professional responsibilities. Our Instructional Resources link provides an index of some of the most used resources by faculty. Links are also available to all administrative offices within Academic Affairs, along with contact information for each of these specialized units.
The College supports its full-time faculty through the Faculty Discretionary/Development Fund Program, faculty travel allocations, and research grant support through our Committee on Aid to Faculty Research (CAFR). Direct assistance is also available through the Center for Teaching Excellence, as well as the College's Instructional Technology Development Program. Please contact the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs at (401) 865-2195 or vpaa@providence.edu for more information.
