Committee Charge

To assess the achievements of the Center for Teaching Excellence in light of its Mission of “working with faculty members to cultivate an institutional climate in which teaching is highly valued and which promotes excellence in student learning"; to determine those initiatives that should be continued and broadened to include more members of the college community so as to enhance the effectiveness of the CTE; to identify desired initiatives in disciplines in which national associations have recommended new or specific pedagogical approaches, e.g., mathematics; to include non-technological approaches to the enhancement of teaching effectiveness in the Center’s programs; to cooperate with the Office of the Vice President for Institutional Advancement in applying for external funding for the Center’s current and projected programs.
