The College is asking PC alumni and students to take part in an online survey sponsored by the College Buzz Book, a guide developed by Vault, the well-known employee research company.
The publication—which includes profiles of 300 prominent colleges and universities—is intended to help prospective college students evaluate their educational options and make informed education and career decisions.
The survey asks participants to record their opinions about PC in five areas: the admission process, academics, employment prospects, quality of life, and social life. Each topical area includes a brief explanation of the range of information sought from respondents, who then relate their experiences and opinions in the space provided.
While the survey is anonymous, it does ask participants to provide the school’s name, type of academic program (i.e., full-time, undergraduate program), campus location, the respondent’s e-mail address (optional), enrollment status, and approximate dates of attendance.
The link to the survey can be found at www.providence.edu/vault. The deadline for responding is April 30, 2007. Information from the survey is being collected for the 2008 edition of the College Buzz Book and will appear in the school profiles posted at www.vault.com.
“The concept of the College Buzz Book guide is to let alumni and students provide first-hand information about the College, based on their experiences,” explains Patricia S. Vieira ’75, associate vice president for college relations and planning. “We have worked very effectively with Vault editors in previous years and are pleased to encourage more students and alumni to participate again this year.”
