Alumni Wanted: Help students achieve career success

Have you ever considered being a career champion for your alma mater?

For Providence College students exploring or embarking on their career plans, alumni are an invaluable resource. With this in mind, the Office of Career Services encourages you to participate in upcoming programs and ongoing initiatives that help to open doors for current students.

On Monday, April 10, “Spring Career Night” in the Slavin Center will feature a job fair for students and an “Alumni-Student Career Conversations” reception. The fair will begin at 5:00 p.m. and take place in upper and lower Slavin Center, while the career reception will start at 5:30 p.m. in ’64 Hall. Building on similar events held annually in Boston, Mass., and in New York City, the reception will include greetings by College President Rev. Brian J. Shanley, O.P. ’80 and the opportunity to share career advice with students while connecting with other alumni.

Additional involvement options include posting job listings and recruiting graduating seniors; recruiting summer interns as a “Friar Summer Intern Partner”; joining FriarLink, the online alumni-student career network; and more.

PC students welcome the support of alumni from all career fields and geographic regions. To register for the Spring Career Night job fair or reception, or for more information on getting involved in student-career initiatives, visit the Office of Career Services Web site by clicking here.
