Building on comments and the sense of camaraderie witnessed last year, all the events for this year’s Reunion Weekend once again will take place on the College campus. Sponsored by the Office of Institutional Advancement, Reunion Weekend 2006 will be held from June 2-4 for classes ending in ’1 or ’6.
There are special celebrations on Friday night for all reunion-goers based on their class year. Saturday will feature two major get-togethers for all class participants: the “Under the Sea Barbecue” from noon to 4:00 p.m. on the Slavin Center Lawn and “Dinner under the Stars” beginning at 7:00 p.m. on the East Campus quadrangle. At the latter event, College President Rev. Brian J. Shanley, O.P. ’80 and other members of the faculty and administration will host a cocktail reception followed by dinner and dancing.
Saturday’s offerings will include two academic presentations and daylong opportunities for class photos for the classes of ’61, ’66, ’71, ’76, ’81, ’86, ’91, ’96, and ’01 on the Slavin Center steps.
Reunion Weekend draws to a close on Sunday with a reunion Mass for deceased members of all classes in St. Dominic Chapel, followed by a piano brunch in Slavin Center ’64 Hall. A final hour-long walking tour of the campus also will be offered.

An opportunity to give
As Reunion Weekend approaches, alumni are encouraged to reflect on the influence PC has played in their lives and to consider making a gift to the College.
“This reunion year, we hope you will not put off giving but will stretch to make an exceptional gift in honor of your class, your College, and its dynamic new president, Father Shanley,” said Amy Bostock Laprey, director of annual giving in the Office of Institutional Advancement. “We know that Providence College alumni will rise to the occasion once again and help set a new standard for reunion giving.”
