Meredith L. ’90 and Joseph J. MarcAurele of East Greenwich, R.I., will serve as honorary co-chairs for this year’s Cabernet Cabaret. The third annual wine tasting and silent auction event will be held in the Concannon Fitness Center on Friday, June 13, at 6:30 p.m.
All proceeds from the event will benefit the National Alumni Association Scholarship Fund, an endowed, need-based scholarship fund supported through events sponsored by the National Alumni Association and regional alumni clubs.
Meredith MarcAurele is a summa cum laude graduate of PC and has had a successful banking career spanning 20 years. She serves as vestry clerk for her parish, All Saints’ Episcopal Church in Warwick, R.I., serves on the Celebrate Rhode Island Board of Directors, and has been involved with various charitable organizations and fund-raising events.
Joseph MarcAurele is president of Citizens Bank of Rhode Island and a member of PC’s Providence President’s Council. He has served on the board of directors of several non-profit organizations, including Rhode Island Hospital, La Salle Academy, and the United Way of Rhode Island.
Cabernet Cabaret will feature some of the finest wines from various regions of Italy and Argentina. Gasbarro’s Wines, owned by Mark Gasbarro ’97 and located on Providence's Federal Hill, will provide 50 different wines, which will complement hors d’oeuvres donated by Pane e Vino restaurant, also of Federal Hill. There also will be the chance to bid on an array of auction items including sporting event tickets and travel packages.
Tickets for Cabernet Cabaret are $75 per person and $50 for young alumni (classes of 1998-2007). Sponsorship opportunities are also available.
